In this weekend’s Dallas Morning News business section, commercial real estate reporter Steve Brown penned a story on the surge in office leases and construction on Ross Avenue entitled “Downtown Dallas’ Ross Avenue gains cachet as a business address.”

PegasusAblon Principal Mike Ablon contributed to the piece on the evolution of historic Ross Avenue and its recent resurgence as prime downtown real estate.

“Ross Avenue is now clearly the main street for business in the central business district,” he said.

Ownership at Ross Tower, formerly Lincoln Plaza, recently renamed the building and the decision to include Ross Avenue in the new name was reached easily.

“If you have a front-row seat on Ross Avenue, we thought it was important to announce that.┬áRoss Avenue is going to be the dominant downtown address for the next decade, if not longer.”

Downtown Dallas Inc. CEO John Crawford cited the completion of the Arts District as a primary reason for the newfound desirability of Ross Avenue to which Brown added the recent addition of Klyde Warren Park and the street’s proximity and connectivity to Uptown.
