Stephen Brookshire, Principal & Executive Vice President
Steve Brookshire is a principal of PegasusAblon and leads day-to-day oversight of its property management and leasing operations. In addition, Steve structures many of PegasusAblon’s complex transactions. Steve has 28 years of experience in the financial and accounting aspects of commercial real estate.
In addition to his position with PegasusAblon, Steve remains the Managing Principal of Atlantic Financial Group (and its related companies), which he formed with other partners more than a decade ago. Through Atlantic Financial Group, Steve has closed over $7 billion of commercial real estate acquisitions and leases. These transactions cover a variety of office, industrial and retail properties across the country.
Previously, Steve served as Chief Financial Officer for the real estate development arm of The Beck Group, a large general contractor headquartered in Dallas. In that role, Steve financed several $5-25 million build-to-suit real estate transactions for companies such as Mead, Southwestern Bell, and AT&T. Prior to working for The Beck Group, Steve ran the Dallas office of Citbank’s commercial equipment leasing group.
Through the years, Steve also served as Senior Director of Corporate Finance for Greyhound Lines, and in his capacity as chief financial officer for two high tech companies. Steve began his career in Dallas, as a Texas CPA on the audit staff of Arthur Young.
Education: Steve graduated magna cum laude with a BBA from Baylor University.
Memberships and Civic Involvement: Steve serves as Chairman of the Board of the Interfaith Housing Coalition Foundation and is a past Chairman of Interfaith’s operating entity. Steve is heavily involved in various volunteer capacities with Esperanza International, a Dominican Republic-based micro finance institution. He is also actively engaged in various leadership roles within his church.
